How I install your network
One party responsible, from planning to handover.
UTP, CAT6 and CAT7 cabling
Per room or a whole building. CAT7 or fibre where needed.
Wifi access points
Seamless switching between several access points (roaming). PoE cabling included.
Patch cabinet and switches
19-inch patch cabinet, managed switches with PoE+, labels and neatly patched.
Handover and documentation
Fully tested, labelled and documented. Floor plan and cabling diagram in your customer portal.
What I can help you with
Home or business: from one workstation to a complete business site.
Home
Working from home, gaming, smart home: a UTP connection per room is more stable than wifi. Easy to combine with a renovation.
Office
PoE workstations, telephony, IP cameras, printers. Centrally managed through managed switches.
Industrial
Industrial halls with IP connections, scanners, IoT sensors. Access points for indoors and outdoors, fibre where needed.
Security
IP cameras, access control systems and alarm panel: all on the PoE network.
How does a UTP project go?
From first contact to handover in 5 steps.
- Contact and advice: call or fill in the form. I discuss the number of workstations, the layout and your wishes.
- Site survey (free): existing situation, cable routes, location for the patch cabinet.
- Tailored quote within 3 working days (a guide price), including cabling, equipment and handover.
- Installation: pulling cables, fitting the patch cabinet, switches and access points. Clean work, minimal disruption.
- Testing and handover: speed test per connection, labels, floor plan in the customer portal.
Questions about the data network
What is the difference between CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a and CAT7?
The categories differ in speed and shielding. CAT5e (1 Gbit, basic), CAT6 (1 to 10 Gbit over short distances), CAT6a (10 Gbit over long distances), CAT7 (industrial, highest shielding). For a home CAT6 is often enough, for businesses usually CAT6a.
Can you improve my wifi?
Yes. I measure the existing coverage, place extra access points in the right spots and use a wired backbone for stability. No plug-in extenders, but a fixed installation.
What is PoE?
Power over Ethernet: power through the same UTP cable as the data. No separate power cable needed for cameras, access points or IP phones. It requires a PoE switch or injector.
How do I know how many cables I need?
Give an estimate of the number of connections in your quote request. I settle it during the site survey. Typical: 2 UTP connections per workstation, 1 to 2 per room, 1 backbone cable per access point.
How long does the installation take?
Small (home, basic wifi): 1 day. Medium (office with 10 to 20 connections): 2 to 4 days. Large (50+ workstations): 1 to 2 weeks. Doing it alongside a renovation saves time.
Do I get a guarantee?
Yes, a 2-year guarantee on the installation. Plus a measurement at handover: speed test per connection and a wifi coverage report.
What if I want to expand later?
With well-structured cabling, expanding is easy: extra patch leads in the patch cabinet. I recommend laying spare conduits or cables at the start.
Do you document all connections?
Yes, as standard. A label for each connection and its position on the patch panel. Full documentation in your customer portal.

Fibre at home: what happens and what you need to arrange yourself
The provider brings the fibre into the meter cupboard. From there it is your network, and that is where there is most to gain.

Three things decide whether working from home is pleasant: enough sockets, a cable instead of wifi, and light from the side.

Testing over a cable is the key. If it works with a cable and not on wifi, it is not the provider.
