Emergency electrician, 24/7 across the Netherlands

from € 175,44 incl. VAT

24/7 fault service for homeowners and businesses alike. Power cut, short circuit, a dead circuit, a burning smell from the meter cupboard? Call straight away.

24/7 available, 365 days a yearProblem usually found within 1 hour2 years guarantee on my work

What do you do when the power fails?

You call in an emergency electrician for a complete power cut, a circuit that keeps tripping, flickering lights, a burning smell near the meter cupboard or when you do not feel safe with your installation. I come out, assess the situation and, where possible, fix it on the spot.

I work to the applicable standards (including NEN 1010) and help you find a lasting solution if a temporary fix is needed. For jobs that can be planned (no urgent emergency) you can request a quote or get in touch, and I will book an appointment at a quiet moment.

Danger to life or risk of fire?

If there is smoke, a burning smell from the meter cupboard, crackling sockets or an immediate risk of fire: call 112 straight away. Switch off the main switch if you can and leave the building. I will come as soon as the situation is safe.

Common situations

Not sure whether it is urgent? If you have any doubt about safety, call me anyway and I will help you think it through.

No power

The whole house or business has no power, or part of the installation cuts out. Check that the main switch is on. See whether the neighbours have power (a grid outage). Note which rooms have no power.

A circuit or the RCD trips

Switch the tripped circuit off, unplug the appliances on that circuit and try switching it back on. Switch the circuits on one at a time to see which one trips the RCD. Problem still there? Call me.

Lights flickering

That can point to a loose connection or a problem in the consumer unit. Note which lights or rooms flicker. Switch heavy appliances off for the time being and call if the flickering continues.

Warm meter cupboard or burning smell

If there is smoke or fire: call 112 and leave the building. No danger, but heat or a smell? Call my emergency line and do not open the consumer unit yourself.

EV charger or three-phase power

The EV charger will not charge, a three-phase circuit cuts out or there is a problem with three-phase. Note the error message on the charger. Check that its circuit in the consumer unit is switched on.

Questions about faults

More in the knowledge base

When should I call the emergency line?

Is it only your RCD tripping? Then first have a look in my knowledge base under "RCD keeps tripping": it has a step-by-step plan that often lets you find the cause yourself. With a complete power cut, sparks, a burning smell, a warm meter cupboard or if you feel unsafe: call my emergency line straight away. I can be reached by phone 24/7 and come out for emergencies anywhere in the Netherlands. In case of fire or immediate danger to life: call 112.

What should I tell you when I call?

Your address and a short description: what works and what does not, which circuit is off, can you smell anything unusual? The more context, the better I can help you.

Do you work in my area?

Yes. For a fault I come out anywhere in the Netherlands, 24 hours a day. In Limburg I can be with you fastest; elsewhere the postcode check shows you straight away how long the drive takes and roughly what time I will arrive. As soon as I set off you get an email showing you live where I am.

Do you also come out at night and at weekends?

Yes. 24/7, 365 days a year. Outside office hours an emergency rate applies. I always tell you before I set off.

What does an emergency job cost?

For emergencies and the fault service my rates under the terms and conditions apply. Where possible you get an indication up front. No surprises without talking to you first.

Is the call-out charge still payable if you cannot fix the problem?

Yes, the call-out charge and the first hour of diagnosis are always charged. For bigger problems that cannot be fixed on the spot, you get a fixed quote for the complete solution. The call-out charge is then offset against the follow-up job.

What if the problem comes back after your visit?

All my work comes with a 2-year guarantee. If the same problem comes back within that period, I come back free of charge to fix it for good.

Do I get an invoice or do I have to pay straight away?

You get a digital invoice once the work is done, payable by iDEAL | Wero through the customer portal. Business customers can also pay on account. Contactless payment on site, including by credit card, is possible.

For planned jobs and faults I travel all over the Netherlands, day and night for a fault. I get to you fastest in Limburg; elsewhere you can see right here how long the drive takes.
