What is the difference between home and business?
Home plans are about convenience: a fault service, a voluntary NEN 1010 inspection of your home for your own peace of mind, free service hours and a discount on the hourly rate for jobs.
Business plans are about the Arbowet and your insurer:
- Annual NEN 3140 inspection (a legal requirement under the Arbowet)
- Compliance report for your insurer
- Inspection of work equipment (hand tools, machines)
- Thermographic inspection (Premium)

Questions about the service plan
Why is business so different from home?
Businesses face different legal requirements (Arbowet, NEN 3140) and insurer requirements than homeowners. Business plans focus on compliance and inspections; home plans on convenience and the fault service.
What is NEN 3140 and is it compulsory?
NEN 3140 is the Dutch standard for working safely with electricity in the workplace. Under the Arbowet you as an employer are required to have periodic inspections carried out. Insurers often require a valid inspection report.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. In your customer portal you can switch to a bigger or smaller plan at any time. A bigger plan starts straight away (charged pro rata), a smaller plan from the next billing period.
How does cancelling work?
You can cancel via your customer portal or by email to info@powernexx.nl. The notice period is 1 month, after which the service and the SEPA direct debit stop.
Can I pause temporarily?
Yes, for example during a renovation or a long holiday. Up to 3 months per calendar year, at least 7 days per pause. Nothing is debited during the pause.
Are there one-off costs?
Yes. All plans have a one-off start-up fee for the intake and setting up your portal. You pay it together with the first period via iDEAL | Wero.

Electrical inspection when selling or buying a home
An inspection is not compulsory when selling, but the report prevents discussion and surprises after the keys are handed over.
3 min readSurge protection: necessary or nonsense
A surge protector catches the spike that would otherwise wreck your equipment. With solar panels, an EV charger or a detached house it is worth it.
3 min readEarthing: why it is there and how you know whether it is sound
Earthing is the path a fault runs away along so the protection can work. Without a sound earth, the rest does not work.
